A cantilever racking system consists of upright columns with arms attached and a base to support the columns.

The arms support the loads placed on them and are adjustable vertically as well as horizontally for improved load retention.

Moreover, the arms provide maximum selectivity as materials on each arm are accessible without moving materials out of the way.

This type of racking is best used for oversized and bulky materials, like carpet rolls, lumber, furniture, pipes, and tubing.

  • Maximize space utilization and storage density with either single- or double-sided designs
  • Handle even the widest loads with a center-column design that creates unlimited horizontal space
  • Heavy-duty design with wide-flange steel columns, bases, and arms – all fastened with high-strength bolted connections
  • Fully customizable with upright heights 25’ or more, lengths from 24″ to 72″ for varying storage depths, various angles of incline for load retention, and the ability to support wire mesh, plywood, or specialized steel decking
  • Minimize damage and reduce operator error with optional aisle guidance systems
  • Simple installation with arm, base, and bracing hardware included

How do I know if cantilever racking is right for me?

Cantilever racking is an excellent option for operations that handle awkward or oversized loads. With a variety of configurations available, cantilever racking can accommodate nearly any sized load while providing excellent selectivity.

How much weight can I store in a cantilever racking system?

Our cantilever racking comes in light- and heavy-duty designs, with the latter capable of handling up to 8-tons.

Do I need a special forklift for a cantilever racking system?

No. However, you should keep in mind that you’ll need wider aisles to access and move wide loads. In that case, a specialized multi-directional forklift like a Combilift can help when maneuvering oversized loads in tight spaces.

What are the maintenance requirements for cantilever racking systems?

There are no maintenance or inspection frequency requirements for racking. But you’ll need to maintain your cantilever racking more the more often you use it. Overall, racking should be inspected anywhere from monthly to yearly.
